Make the Commitment to Focus on Awareness and Reflection

Making a commitment to work on becoming aware of your life's experiences and reflecting back on the meaning of those experiences can help lead you to a fulfilling life.

This commitment will not only impact you, it will impact the lives around you.

Think about it. If you're a person who has consistently failed to honor your commitments, I will bet you have trouble establishing respect with those closest to you. People don't count on you do to do anything you say. You have broken the trust chain.

On the other hand, when you have made a commitment to do something and honored it, especially in the face of seemingly long odds, it has probably meant the world to someone.

When you honor your commitments you are presented with new opportunities and experiences. You not only feel good about yourself, you also make others feel good. People see an example they wish to follow to live their best life.

I want to ask you to make a commitment to yourself to develop your awareness. What do you have to do? Think about the commitments you've made in the past and how they were handled and consider the changes that honoring a commitment brings. Start with these questions:

— When have you made a commitment and not honored it?  What was the outcome?
— When have you made a commitment and followed through with it? What was the outcome?
— How fulfilling do you think your life could be if you honored more of your
commitments?
— How do you think a commitment to developing your awareness could improve your life?
